The CalfI watch, as the little calf, days of darkness past, stumbles through the sun.The Calf
'Where's your mother?' I ask, as I bend to stroke, such soft, innocent fur.
She appears to have strayed from the fold, barely standing here on wobbly feet, lost and lonely in a new world,
As my fingers quietly pet her, she snuggles closer to my hand, my warmth...
"So you too seek love, comfort?" you, the most basic of beings, in this all too tortuous world.
perhaps, your pastoral realm is not so different, from my jungles of

Beginnings and EndingsI have a book filled with beginnings, but no endings,Beginnings and Endings
In my head are perfect endings, that never really got started,
gravestones record only beginnings and endings, when life is lived in the dash,
I wish, at the end, I will be remembered not for a good beginning or ending, but a great living.

Into the Light: A GhazalTurning from the World, I am drawn into the Light, Rowing, stroke by stroke, I flee, torn, into the Light.Into the Light: A Ghazal
Easter, when I first saw that bright Flower of Sindh, Onwards, I flew; glad to be thrown into the Light.
'Race', 'Religion', those great beasts of men, now risen, Stand blocking, as I stare, forlorn, into the Light.
Eternal, empty word for a temporal world, Hopes, dreams: shattered; leave me fallen into the Light.

Thank God for AIG and the recession, say thanks for Prozac, and our depression. Thank God for Baywatch, Thank God for D-Cups,

Love on a rooftopLove on a rooftop
I wait upon rooftops, for twilight to fall, the sky is crystal clear, upon hearing your call. The beauty before me, be so far beyond compare, your magical beauty, radiates through the air.
At close of each day, when the night comes alive, we shall dance here together, no matter waltz or a jive. Crossing the floor 'til your delicate fingers touch mine, the hand that I be holding, is of such beautiful woman divine.
We stay away from the ledges, so there be no chance to fall, here on our rooftops, the world below looks so far and so small. Sweet music fills the air,
